Contentment - Imbibe And Radiate

A life-skill that we need to learn, is to balance our contentment and our desires. Let's check if we say, After I make all these improvements in my life, I'll be contented, or do we say I'm contented right now, and ready to improve further. Contentment doesn't mean we have no desire to achieve. It means we are already satisfied, and willing to work harder to improve our future. Have you come across people achieving goals, doing well, leading comfortable lives, but never contented? Have you also met someone who has hardly achieved anything, but is very contented in life? Does it set you thinking about the link between contentment and achievement? Contentment is independent of who we are, what we have or what we achieve. It is a beautiful quality of being happy with everything at the moment, while working towards more. Contentment is to be cultivated, irrespective of external situations and people. Being content does not imply we withdraw, be lethargic, stop achieving or settle with what we have. It simply means everything happening at this moment – who we are, what is happening to us and around us, and the people we are with - everything is fine the way it is, and we are ready to work on things further. It takes just one thought to be contented. Your energy of satisfaction fuels your positivity and power to your situations. 


Before beginning the day, remind yourself everyday that you are a contented being. Always be contented with every scene of your life, with yourself, with your family, with your work, with what is happening to you, around you, to the people you are with. Everything is fine, happening exactly the way it is meant to be, the way you are is perfect, what you have is enough and people and situations around you are right. Your contentment is a reflection of your happiness and peace within. Nothing outside needs to be perfect for you to experience contentment. Never compromise on your values of peace, love and happiness while working towards your goals. Your contentment is not dependent on what you have achieved. Be satisfied with what you have. Remaining contented, now work towards more, develop healthier habits, learn new skills, achieve meaningful goals and work on self-improvement. Radiate your highest vibration to every scene. Radiate your peace, purity and power to every scene and elevate the energy of the next scene. Co-operate with everyone instead of competing. The positivity you create from within, the blessings you get from people keeps you contented, happy and successful always.

To be free from attachment of one's own qualities is to have the ability to work on the self.


Expression: The main form of attachment of the self is the attachment to both one's own specialities and weaknesses. When there is the ability to free oneself from this kind of attachment there is the ability to work on both. There is the awareness of them, but not bound by them. There is the ability to use specialities with love and according to the need. There is also special attention given to finish weaknesses.


Experience: When I am free from attachment, I am aware of them, but there is neither arrogance of the specialities nor any inferior feelings for the presence of the negativity within me. I am able to experience detachment from them and able to use my specialities with ease. I am not disturbed with the presence of the weaknesses but am able to win over them with ease.

Healing And Deleting Past Hurt

Is there a list of people on your mind, who you believe have hurt you? If so, you need to think again. Whether it is our hurt or happiness, our emotions are always our creation. People do what they had to do, when they are emotionally bruised. It is we who absorb their energy and hurt ourselves with our wrong thoughts in response. How often do you say, He hurt me, I am in pain because of her or How can I forget the way people let me down? And if you permitted yourself to not react to their behaviours, how happier would your life be? No one can make us feel happy or hurt. People can abuse, ignore, insult, or belittle us. Their power is outside, they cannot enter our mind to make us feel hurt. Our internal conversation about their behaviour, determines how we feel. We hurt ourselves and only we can heal ourselves. In the same situation, different people respond differently. For example, when insulted – one person sinks into pain for a lifetime while another shrugs it off immediately. Let's not wait for apologies or leave it to time to heal. Moreover, when someone is behaving wrongly, let's empathize because they must be in some pain for behaving that way. 


Before the start of each day, remind yourself that you are a compassionate being. Radiate happiness and love to every cell of your body. Remain calm and stable and cleanse your body. Do not get affected by people's behaviour and words. You felt uncomfortable with certain people's behaviors in the past. Do not wait for people or time to heal you from past hurt. Today release the past with understanding. Understand that they did not hurt you, they were a victim of their own sanskars and perceptions. They were emotionally in pain. You absorbed their pain and hurt yourself. No one can hurt you. It was your past karmic account which is over. You create every emotion and you have a choice. Heal yourself. Forgive them for what they did. Forgive yourself for the hurt. Past is past, you delete, delete and let go. You refuse to think about it. Radiate only love and blessings to yourself and them. Everything is perfect and will always be.

True honesty brings clarity about the self. 


Expression: Honesty doesn't mean just speaking the truth. Honesty means being clear with oneself. Then it naturally brings clarity about one's own capabilities. This clear understanding enables one to do the best according to the capacity. It gives the recognition of a higher step that can be climbed and brings the humility to learn from the different lessons of life.

Experience: When I am honest I am able to know my own limitations and accept them with love. This acceptance keeps me busy with what I can do and also silently makes me ready for the next step. When time comes, I am able to do it, because I have already prepared myself for it. I don't stop when situations demand more from me because there is total clarity within.

1. Begin your day with 15 minutes meditation and after that read spiritual wisdom for 15 minutes in the morning. Create an affirmation for the day from the wisdom you have read and practice it the entire day. Morning meditation will give you the inner power to practice the affirmation. 


2. Emerge the affirmation that you have created, as a positive thought in your mind, first thing in the morning as soon as you wake up, before eating and drinking anything and just before sleeping. That means about 10-15 times in the day.


3. Make sure your affirmation is experienced and not just repeated in your mind, which increases its success because an affirmation which is experienced, radiates a more positive and powerful vibration to the Universe and it comes back with a more positive result.


4. Make your affirmation full of positive words and phrases of success e.g. use words like I am instead of I will, I am not, etc. You can also make your affirmation based on the situation that exists in your life at that time. 


5. Practice the same affirmation the entire day and in some cases, in a particular situation, you can practice the same affirmation for a few days together, for positive results.

Expression: Each one has surely been bestowed with a special gift, a gift that is unique to each one. The one who recognizes this fact is able to use it for the purpose of bringing benefit to one and all. Under all circumstances there is the ability to bring out the best from within the self. So there is the influence of that on all around and everyone is benefitted.


Experience: When I recognize my own uniqueness, I am able to remain free from comparison and competition. I am able to be in the state of self-respect of knowing who I am. This then keeps me content and peaceful. Along with this, I have a lot of enthusiasm to use this special gift of mine. So there is a constant experience of contentment along with progress.
