The Supreme Star Shines Above Us (Part 2)!

Looking at the world around you, create a pure and positive thought in your mind that the world is my family. Carry a duty inside your consciousness that you have to serve the world. All human beings are linked to each other by a common bond of brotherhood. And just like we want good things for ourselves, give a few moments to share the invisible treasures that you carry inside your mind and heart with others. Perform this simple exercise throughout the day. Whenever someone comes in front of you, use your inner ear or the third ear as you may call it or the ear of the mind to hear the other’s voice or desire of some virtue or the other. If someone meets you on the street, and you judge that this person is lacking happiness, then emerge that quality in your heart. Give that quality to the person through your smile and pleasant behavior and your inner joyful state of mind. If you go to your office and you meet a colleague who is disturbed and in a peaceless state of mind, then share the quality of peace and calmness with such a person through your eyes and gentle words. In the same manner, if someone in your home is lacking the power to tolerate negative situations, provide support to that person through your inner stable state of mind and powerful energy. This is called being a constant giver or one who fulfills everyone’s wishes.

Of course, all these qualities come inside you immensely, when you keep God as your constant companion. God is the Guiding Star under whose canopy we all live and all that we wish for ourselves and for others, will come to us and them by being connected with God on a mental level. This is because the more we love God, the more full with qualities we will become and also we will fill others with the same. And the more everyone becomes fuller inside, their health, wealth, relationships and roles will improve.

To consider myself to be big means to have a generous heart.

Projection:When I consider myself to be big, I usually want others to give me respect and listen to me. But not always do I find others listening to me, I am then disappointed and try to use more of my authority in a forceful way.

Solution: To be big means not to expect to take but to be a giver. I understand that since I am in a better position, I need to give. This attitude will help me get others' good wishes and I continue to achieve success.

The Supreme Star Shines Above Us (Part 1)!

Life is a beautiful journey, in which we are always surrounded by many people and we wish for good things for others as well as ourselves. Yes, sometimes, all that we wish for everyone is fulfilled and sometimes it is not. It is worth wondering that everyone wants good not only for their loved ones but for each and everyone in the world. Yet at times it can happen that all the good that we feel everyone deserves does not come to them or comes a little late. Do we wish for the same things for each other? Yes, at times. In fact, most of the time. After all, all of us desire the same good things in life – love, joy and peace on a spiritual level and health, wealth and success in our roles and relationships on a physical level. We are souls or beings who have played many beautiful roles with each other in many past lives or births. And, while doing that, we experienced many pure love filled relationships. God is the Supreme Star of spiritual light, the Spiritual Parent, whom we all look upto and wish for good things in this life. We do this not only for ourselves but for all the souls of the world, which is our world family, with which we are connected eternally.

God fills us with the knowledge and strength to fulfill these wishes of happiness for each other and for ourselves. Let’s embark on a journey in reaching out to each and every soul in the world and fulfill this task. God, the Supreme Star shines above us, under whose guidance, we can do this.

To see things as they are is to be free from the influence of my own weaknesses.

Projection:Sometimes I find myself reacting to even small situations. I also find my feelings being dependent on the different situations I face. I do try to change my feelings of negativity, if they do arise. But sometimes I am not able to, either because of my personality or the dominant personality trait working within me at that time.

Solution: If I have to change my reactions to the different situations that I am faced with, I need to change my vision, i.e I need to change the way I see things. I need to understand the situation as it is and not let it be coloured by my own personality traits. When I see things as they are, I am able to act in situations instead of reacting.

The Pledge Of Responsibility

A very important aspect of progress in the self and my relationships, which we all desire is restoring a sense of responsibility in my inner world, so that by doing that, I and others around me are benefitted. Even on a physical or non-spiritual level, someone who is responsible while playing his/her role or performing his/her duties either in the family, at the workplace or in some other setting e.g. a club group or a team in a particular sport or a social service group, not only feels content with his/her actions himself/herself but spreads ripples of contentment to others and receives similar energy from each one he/she is involved with. In the same way on an emotional or spiritual level, when I start my day I need to remind myself of my responsibility towards myself. I need to remind myself that I am responsible for the choices I make in my life which influence and color everyone around me. So do my thoughts, feelings, the way my personality functions internally and externally the whole day and my responses to people and situations, for all of which I am responsible.

It is like taking a pledge of responsibility with the self in the morning that today I will not create a single thought, word or action which is against the texture of my innate, positive nature i.e. irresponsible. And what will provide my pledge the much required strength of determination? An injection of positive thoughts, emotions and sanskaras within me in the morning, using a suitable technique of self empowerment like meditation or spiritual study or some other. By taking such a pledge of responsibility and by watering it with the energy of my attention from time to time during the day, I am able to implement it and can make a difference to not only the people around me, but to a lot more than that. In this way, as I change, the world around me changes, because the energy I create in my inner world starts flowing into my circumstances, my interactions, my sphere of karmas, etc. to make them positive, which benefits me in return in the form of a cyclic process. As I take this pledge and abide by it for a few days, I start realizing the immense potential that it possesses.

To be simple is to become an example.

Projection:Simplicity is mistaken as ordinariness. It is sometimes associated with lack of colour. So I am usually not so simple in my words and actions. I try and add on as much colour as I can in order for them to be attractive or impressive.

Solution: To be simple is to be like a seed, which is full yet simple. True simplicity is to discover and use these qualities that are within. Once I allow these qualities to flow out, others too are able to take inspiration from me. So I become an example for others with my own simplicity.

The Key To Beautiful Relationships - Unconditional Love (Part 6)

This is the last part of this detailed message series on how to live your relationships in the right manner and in this last part, we explain the method of becoming a good relationship manager. In other words, how do we manage our relationships in a manner that the other person in all our relationships is always full of love and blessings for us in his or her heart? Also we continue to experience that love from them in the form of good wishes which reach us in a way so as to fill us on a spiritual level.

Soul-consciousness is the way of living relationships spiritually. Spirituality teaches us that each and every human being in this world is a soul whose original qualities are peace, love and happiness. Also, each one is originally full of these qualities when they come down in the world to play their roles down in the physical world from the soul world up above. This initial stage of ours is called the soul-conscious stage, in which the soul’s qualities are like a fragrant flower. Also, everyone experiences these qualities from us, in all relationships. It’s when we started coming under the influence of negativity of different forms that the soul started losing its qualities and fragrance and it started looking outwards in need of these qualities. This is when the balance in relationships was spoilt and we starting becoming dependent on others for our love and joy. It is like the famous story of the musk deer, who did not realize that the scent it was searching for was from its own navel. In the same manner as the musk deer, we lost the connection with our inner selves and the method of accessing peace, love and joy by becoming soul conscious. We started looking for it from our mother, our father, our child, our brother, our life partner, our friend etc. The right way of restoring the balance is completing the triangle of spirituality, by including God as the one whom I absorb peace, love and joy from. I also become soul-conscious and access these qualities inside myself and increase them. And then I share all these qualities with others, instead of expecting them to give me those qualities of peace, love and joy.

The one who is moldable is real gold.

Projection:I find myself getting very easily influenced with the negativity outside. To get influenced is to take in lot of impurity from outside. This is like mixing alloy in gold and the negativity within doesn't allow me to get molded.

Solution: I need to keep myself free from the negativity that comes from situations and people. I also need to maintain my own inner positivity. Thus working with my own inner purity and positivity, I find myself becoming moldable.

The Key To Beautiful Relationships - Unconditional Love (Part 5)

Sacrifice in any relationship is an important characteristic or quality that one needs to imbibe to make it successful. Remember the one who only keeps himself or herself ahead without caring for the needs of the other in a relationship is the one who loses respect. Also he or she is the one who can lead in the relationship with the head but is the loser, when it comes to the heart. The one who gives up the ego to accommodate the needs of the other is the true winner in a relationship of love, which could be relationships involving any two people and in any type of relationship. We are not necessarily talking about relationships between life partners, which some people think, are the most difficult relationship to play. So, wherever it may be, the one who says I in every dealing is the loser at the level of the heart. That means he or she will lose the blessings of the other, even though he or she may be smarter and more skilled than the other and the other person accepts that also. So respect is gained at the external level by the egoistic role player but love and respect is lost at the internal level.

You must have heard this some time ago that to fear is not to respect, which happens with egoistic people. Egoistic people are sometimes respected out of fear because they are more skilled in many ways and good at doing many things of the world and also good at making things work their way. But, what they are lacking is humility and the way of winning people’s hearts. Remember, there have been people in the world who have been more successful because they were compassionate and sweet natured. They are not necessarily best at the ways of the world and being skilled and the best at achieving success on a materialistic level. Humble people are true leaders of people’s hearts and God helps them to achieve big, because of this quality that they possess.

To understand the importance of my actions is to create a fortune for myself.

Projection:I usually blame my fortune when something goes wrong. I either feel it to be unjust or curse my past actions which have brought me this fate today. To curse my past actions is to lose the present moment too.

Solution: Instead of cursing my past actions, I need to make the most of the present. Whatever I do today, I get the fruit of it right now and for the future too. So I need to pay attention to do the right actions always.

The Key To Beautiful Relationships - Unconditional Love (Part 4)

Loving God in the right manner is also an important aspect of our lives in which God is also just like all our other relationships, although a very important one. Playing a role of child or friend to God also requires certain ways of acting and creating thoughts of love for Him. E.g. To always ask more and more from God and not think of returning enough is also an incorrect way of being God’s close one. Also, changing oneself to become like God is being a true loved one of God. Qualities like love, happiness and contentment and even a clean heart and truthfulness make you worthy of receiving God’s beautiful sustenance and support when you are facing difficult situations in life’s journey. At these times, you need God’s help, without which you cannot come out of them.

Another important relationship with God is one of a teacher and a student, in which God helps us become full of divine qualities apart from spiritual knowledge of course. In this relationship, we need to realize the importance of the effort made by God as a Supreme Teacher. Also we need to realize how we should return all the energy and time that he spends on us in making us perfect human beings and lifting our spiritual intelligence to high levels. This is required to become pure and perform good actions. Another relationship with God which we sometimes forget to play is one in which God is like a child who takes care of us in different ways. He does this in return of all the care that we shower on Him and also all the respect we give Him because He is a like a constant spiritual power canopy on us. His eyes never stop looking upon us and protecting us from all the difficulties that we might face. Also, whenever you remember God as the Supreme guru, it means following all the directions that He gives. It also means having a stage of purity when coming into contact with others, which is a stage similar to God’s. This makes you worthy of His constant good wishes which keep you light and happy.

To have interest to serve is to get the opportunity.

Projection:I usually want to do a lot to help others or serve them in some way or the other. I either don't find an opportunity or if I do find them, I don't find the time to do according to my desire.

Solution: I need to keep the thought in my mind constantly to be of help to others. Then I will not just wait for bigger situations or things to provide help to others. Instead I will be able to extend my help to others in little ways.

The Key To Beautiful Relationships - Unconditional Love (Part 3)

Whenever you want to experience joy in a relationship, learn to love with a big heart. This is something we hear commonly, but what this means is loving without any fixed boundaries of how the other person should be with me. In other words, we tend to create so many fixed images in our mind of the other person’s consciousness, attitude, words and actions about how they should be, that we don’t let the other person be themselves. This happens to the extent that the other person will in some cases stop expressing themselves freely. Also sometimes their personality starts going into a cover which has been created by us and they will never come out of that cover for life in some cases. The meaning of that is simple that the other person becomes a puppet in our hands and he or she will do everything that we demand without ever thinking that they are no longer themselves. And who is responsible for that happening? We are. We create a person based on our personality. That’s in short a karma that we become responsible for. This is called a conditional love.

On the other hand, a love that is unconditional wants the other person, whom you love, to be themselves and a different person from them with their own personality, their own special strengths, skills and qualities. This happens in such a way that these qualities and skills complement your strengths and the two of you become a beautiful pair of people who keep each other ahead. Also, at the same time you focus on your own qualities and bring them into action. This is true love. Such a love, when brought into action becomes a beautiful foundation for a happiness filled relationship. In such a relationship, two people enjoy each other’s loveful company without interfering in each other’s personal space.

To be constantly enthusiastic is to experience freedom.

Projection:When everything is going on well I find myself enthusiastic and have the interest to move forward. But when even a little thing goes wrong, I lose all enthusiasm to do anything else. This creates a bondage for me and I find it difficult to move forward.

Solution: I need to remind myself that to be enthusiastic in all situations is to be like a free bird reaching great heights. That means no situation makes me like a caged bird, who has all the opportunities but does not know or does not believe in using them.
