Newness At Every Step (Part 1)

Newness At Every Step (Part 1)

Living a life of positivity and creativity makes life a beautiful journey which one loves completely and enjoys to the fullest extent. Different thoughts, words and actions full of newness and enthusiasm are the driving energy of your life. Life should not be a routine with the same type of thoughts, words and actions everyday. On the other hand, life should be a journey full of happiness and variety with different types of events and not the same scenes and situations everyday. Also making a lot of interactions with different types of people everyday gives life a new touch of positivity and relaxation which would not be possible if we met the same people everyday. So, make it a point to meet new people everyday and give life a new meaning and purpose by doing different types of creative activities. Even in your job, look for different types of activities which give life a new purpose. Don't become accustomed to a similar routine everyday which can make the job or even the house work a boring exercise. Be creative and bring newness at every step.

Also, whenever you start your day, create a few positive thoughts or affirmations in your mind. Let them be full of success and a lot of determination which will keep you full of positive energy in the entire day, so that actions can be performed without getting tired. This is what joyful living is. Also, after every couple of hours in the day, stop your work for 3 minutes and check the thoughts in your mind. If they are going in the wrong direction, give them a new direction by meditating and creating a lot of powerful and positive thoughts or at times if you feel it more comfortable, experience silence in meditation by connecting with God, the Ocean of Peace. One is a positive expansion of thoughts and the other is packing up. Both are spiritual methods of empowering the mind. Both have their own benefits and help in mind control. Try either one depending on the situation. Also, throughout the day, talk to God and make Him a part of your life as you would make a close relative or friend, in the same manner.

Message for the day

The sweetness of the mind brings sweetness in words and interactions.

Expression:
There is an understanding of the need for being sweet in words and interactions. But this sweetness can be expressed only when there is sweetness in the mind. Sweetness of the mind means there is not even a trace of negativity. Such a mind is further open to all that is nice and beautiful and expresses its own freshness and beauty in interactions.

Experience: When I am able to keep my mind sweet, i.e., free from any kind of bitterness or ill-feelings, I am able to experience the beauty of life. There is no feeling of sorrow or negativity but the mind is nurtured to further positivity with everything that comes its way. I am then able to experience constant growth and progress.

Don’t Criticize People, Correct Them With Respect

Don't Criticize People, Correct Them With Respect

We hold the purest intention for everyone, but we project our frustration by criticizing people when they are not our way. Criticism has vibrations of anger or rejection, so apart from creating hurt in the one being criticized, it depletes our inner power. If we remain stable and give the same feedback, it's beneficial. Have you been in an interaction where you gave the finest of feedbacks possible, yet the other person understood it as criticism and rejection? Is your instruction or suggestion often thought to be harsh and insulting? Does that make you stop advising people, as you are unsure how to relay it effectively? When giving feedback, how we say it matters more than what we say. Our intentions for family, friends and colleagues is pure, but we need to take care of our energy when conveying the feedback. If we are critical, the other person becomes defensive, depleted and hurt. He holds us responsible for the pain and the negativity radiates back to us.

Criticism is emotional abuse. It targets the person and rarely focuses on their act. We need to give feedback with an energy of understanding, love and respect so that the other person accepts it and becomes willing to transform. The next time people behave or work in different ways which do not match your definition of right, empower them. Speak softly, use fewer words and guide them. Remind yourself - I empower people with my polite and helpful feedback. I create transformation and earn their blessings. Accept people and finish criticism. Shift from controlling and authoritative ways, to being compassionate and caring. Once you stop criticizing, you will increase your ability to appreciate life more. Remind yourself - I correct people with respect and dignity. I give feedback on the task that has gone wrong and help them to correct.

Message for the day

To be free from weakness means to have the power to mould.

Expression:
When there is a weakness, it becomes difficult to mould according to the needs of the situation. Weakness creates hardness and rigidity not allowing the situations to create internal beauty. So the one who is constantly working with one's own weakness finds it difficult to stop the negativity from being expressed immediately. The weakness is revealed inspite of making effort not to and there is unpleasantness created.

Experience: To have the ability to mould means to become real gold. I become as flexible and beautiful as pure gold, which is ready to take beautiful shapes when it comes under the influence of the heat of the situation. So I have no hard feelings for having to adjust, but I am able to enjoy the beauty I create and the joy I spread.

Becoming Free From The Desire For Revenge

Becoming Free From The Desire For Revenge

Ask yourself very honestly how many times in your life did you feel joy, even a slight trace of it, when something negative happened with someone who had harmed you or hurt you or insulted you in any way in the past – either in the immediate or distant (far-away) past. When this kind of joy, which is a negative form of joy, is seen inside you, even if it is at your extremely subtle thought level (not in your words or actions), you need to remember that this is nothing but a feeling of subtle revenge, even if physically you haven't got back at any point of time at the person who has harmed you, when he did so. It may not sound very nice, but this kind of joy is enjoying the pain of others and is obviously an extremely low form of joy. Sometimes, as a way of justifying our joyful revenge, we call it justice

The driving energy or fuel behind this kind of revenge is hatred or anger. It is a feeling of: I really enjoyed it when what they had done to me came back to them - I was so happy to see them suffer for what they had done, this is their punishment. It is a type of joy that only increases our accounts of negative karmas with the other person, which as a result, increases our sorrow, instead of decreasing it, although it may give us an impression for a while that it is decreasing our sorrow. This kind of joy will only cause the radiation of a negative form of energy to the other person, which will not only give pain to the other person but will also cause the radiation of the negative energy of hatred from the other person to us that will never bring us long term joy. Imagine someone meeting with an accident on the road and in a lot of pain and instead of helping that person immediately we smile at that person happy with what has happened to him or her. What energy will such a person send us in return? This example is on a physical level, but the same principle applies on a subtle level. So, the next time something like this happens in our life, we need to remind ourselves only if we don't have the slightest trace of joy inside us that we can safely say that we are free from any desire for revenge, even though it may be very subtle.

Message for the day

Feelings change intentions, thus changing actions too.

Expression:
When there are negative feelings like jealousy or hatred towards another person, those feelings naturally create misunderstanding. Even if the other person has a good feeling while doing something, a negative intention is attributed and this naturally changes one's own behaviour or response making it negative too.

Experience: When there is the slightest bit of negative feeling within me for someone, it naturally creates further negativity from others too. I find everything I come across to be negative, like the one who wears coloured glasses sees everything to be of that particular colour.
